Pissouri village is one of the most attractive and friendly villages in the southwest of Cyprus. It is situated in the principal vine growing area with grapes covering the neighbouring countryside. This south facing village, set high up on the hillside about 1,000ft above sea level, commands the most magnificent view of some 20 miles of Mediterranean coastline.
To the south and east there are panoramic views of the coast, across vineyards, olive and carob trees and to the north one can see the majestic Troodos Mountains. For cliff top walks, Cape Aspro is a must being 500ft high on average and the highest point on the ridge being just over 800ft. Along your walk you will find the long beaches that surround this area, one of the most popular in Cyprus. The renowned rock of Aphrodite is only a few kilometres away and according to legend, this is where Aphrodite arose from the waves.
This really is a spectacular place to visit as its surroundings are simply beautiful.
