Turkey Climate

It is commonly said that you can experience each of the four seasons on the same day in some parts of this wonderful country. In the spring months the early tourists in Turkey bask in the Mediterranean sunshine on the southern beaches while on the lofty mountain tops in the north there are people skiing. The average summer temperature is approximately 30 - 40 degrees Celsius and in the winter only goes as low as 10 – 19 degrees therefore providing an excellent all round climate. Here you can sunbathe for nine months of the year!

The Black Sea region glistens under the spring sunshine and odd bursts of rain can be seen up in the Mountains. In the south east, Anatolia still sleeps in a blanket of snow in the spring whilst the rest of Turkey is basking in the sunshine. In parts of Turkey it is known to have temperature variations over a day of 20 degrees; there really is something for everyone here.

The Aegean and Mediterranean regions are at the height of summer a sun lover’s paradise. Thousands of people gather along the coastline and experience the hot and dry tropical weather. With the winters in this region so mild it is easy to see why people flock here throughout the year.
